Schmittiart isn’t a meticulously planned venture. It’s a happy accident – the result of a shared passion for creativity and a willingness to embrace the unexpected. It started with a few friends, late-night talks, and a desire to explore the artistic process without constraints.
At the heart of Schmittiart are Peter, Anja, and Marcel. Each brings a unique perspective and artistic inclination to the collective. Peter finds his inspiration in the natural world, drawn to the beauty and tranquility captured in nature photography. He meticulously studies landscapes and details, seeking to translate that essence into his work. Anja’s domain is the canvas, where she expertly wields oils to create vibrant and expressive paintings. She pours her heart and soul into each piece, bringing textures and emotions to life. Marcel, a dedicated sketch artist, finds joy in capturing fleeting moments and forms with a pencil. His notebooks are filled with intricate drawings— portraits, architectural details, and imaginative creations.
The name “Schmittiart” itself, a playful nod to a shared inside joke, reflects our core philosophy: embracing the spontaneous and celebrating the unpredictable. We don’t adhere to a theme or trend; we simply create. Sometimes the results are stunningly beautiful; other times, they's wonderfully quirky – and that's perfectly okay. We believe creativity thrives when boundaries are blurred and experimentation is encouraged.
What began as informal get-togethers has evolved into a dynamic project, showcased on this website. Initially, it was just about sharing our explorations with a small circle of friends. Now, we’ve decided to open our process to a wider audience.
